Photonics Hub Online Seminar: Optical Roughness Measurement

The optical measurement of surface topographies has experienced a significant increase of importance within recent years. For this relatively new discipline, however, there is still a lack of definitions and standards - for example in the field of calibration, which often prevents the comparability of different measuring instruments.

The webinar will present the status of international standardization and its future development. Furthermore, approaches for the calibration of optical topography measuring instruments will be explained, which enable a very efficient calibration of all metrological characterictics for the user.
